Grade 80 Precast Concrete Lifting Clutch (LTC Type)

Ring Clutch for Spherical Head Pin Anchors
1.3T - 20T WLL EN 1677 Compliant 4:1 Safety Factor

Product Overview

The H-Lift Grade 80 Precast Concrete Lifting Clutch LTC Type (Ring Clutch) is a high-strength rigging device engineered to connect safely to cast-in spherical head anchors (pin/dog bone anchors) embedded within precast concrete elements.

Designed for hoisting and transporting precast panels, columns, beams, pipes, and slabs, the LTC clutch head slides over the embedded anchor and locks securely into the spherical recess. Once engaged under load, the clutch prevents spontaneous disengagement at any angle. After the element is positioned and load tension is released, the clutch disengages quickly and easily for high site efficiency.

Key Features

  • Spherical Head Anchor Compatibility: Engineered to lock onto standard cast-in spherical head anchors (pin anchors/dog bone anchors) embedded in precast concrete panels, slabs, and columns.
  • Fail-Safe Load Engagement: Features a quick-connecting head that slides over the anchor head and locks into the spherical recess, preventing spontaneous disengagement under tension at any orientation.
  • Quenched & Tempered Grade 80 Alloy: Manufactured from forged Grade 80 alloy steel, heat-treated for high toughness, and compliant with EN 1677 manufacturing standards for lifting accessories.
  • 100% Magnaflux Crack Detection: Every unit undergoes mandatory electromagnetic particle inspection (MPI) and batch proof testing to guarantee complete metallurgical structural integrity.
  • Strict Safety Factors: Built to deliver a 4:1 design safety factor with a proof load tested to 2.5 times the Working Load Limit (WLL).
  • System Capacity Matching: Available in capacities spanning 1.3T to 20T WLL, engineered for exact capacity matching with cast-in anchor groups.

🛠️ Operation & Engagement Guide

  1. Anchor Matching: Ensure the capacity class of the LTC clutch matches the capacity group of the cast-in spherical head anchor (e.g., match a 3-5T clutch to a 3-5T anchor).
  2. Engage Anchor Head: Slide the clutch head over the protruding spherical anchor head embedded in the concrete recess.
  3. Locking Under Load: Allow the ring handle to orient along the pull line. Applying tension automatically locks the clutch lip underneath the anchor head.
  4. Hoisting & Positioning: Maintain uniform tension during rotation, turning, and positioning of the precast concrete element.
  5. Release & Disengage: Once the concrete element is set and load tension is fully released, manually swivel the clutch handle back to disengage.

⚠️ Precast Lifting Safety Notice

Never mismatch clutch and anchor load groups. Always inspect the clutch body, lip, and handle for cracks or distortion before each lift, and verify concrete cure strength meets required anchor release levels.
