Key Features of Universal Beam Clamps

By H-Lift October 30th, 2025 240 views

The Universal Beam Clamp is a highly flexible, no-drill solution for creating semi-permanent anchor points on overhead I-beams. Unlike standard clamps, this unit is designed to handle pulling and lifting at angles across the beam, eliminating the need for spreader beams in many complex lifting operations.

Why "Universal"? (Side Loading Capability)

Standard beam clamps are strictly for vertical lifting (90° to the ground). The Universal Beam Clamp allows for greater flexibility:

  • Side Load Applications: Designed for use where conventional clamps are not suitable.
  • 100% Capacity Rule: The clamp retains 100% of its working load limit (WLL) provided the load angle stays within 15 degrees of the clamp's centerline.
  • Any Angle: Can be loaded at various angles, making it ideal for pulling and positioning tasks.
🔧 Adjustable & Secure

Composed of welded, powder-coated jaws that open and close via a threaded spindle. Fitted with an adjustable locking mechanism to ensure the clamp stays securely tightened to the beam flange.

🏗️ Low Headroom Design

Features a built-in suspension point (bar/eye) integrated into the body. This compact design minimizes headroom loss, making it perfect for tight spaces with limited clearance.

🚀 Quick Installation

A lightweight, portable design allows for quick clamping and unclamping without the need for drilling or welding. Ideal for temporary rigging or maintenance tasks.

📜 Compliant & Safe

Manufactured to meet the rigorous safety standards of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, providing peace of mind for industrial operators.

⚠️ WARNING: Do NOT use this equipment for lifting flat plate sections.
Never exceed the Working Load Limit (WLL).
