Clevis hooks are designed to be connected to a bracket or chain, grab hooks have no safety latch but will grab the load.
C  is designed for Grade 43 chain,  A is designed for Grade 70 chain.

Description

H-Lift Clevis Grab Hook;

  • Available in forged carbon steel and alloy steel.
  • “C” stands for carbon steel, Grade 43 high test forged steel for Grade 43 chain.
  • This Grade 43 Clevis Grab Hook is made of High-Test forged steel and is used for hardware and industrial applications. Connecting and disconnecting this hook to a chain or bracket is made easy by the clevis pin. Available finishes: white zinc plated or self-colored. 
  • “A” stands for alloy steel, Grade 70 forged alloy steel for Grade 70 chain.
  • This Grade 70 Clevis Grab Hook is quenched, tempered, and proof tested, this hook can handle a lot when it comes to cargo control. It’s easily attached and detached from the chain by the clevis pin and is available in yellow zinc finish for that added corrosion resistance. 
  • Not suitable for use with Grade 80 chain and chain sling used in overhead lifting
  • Drop forged, quenched & tempered
