Copper Ferrules are essential for swaging Stainless Steel Wire Ropes. Unlike aluminum, copper is chemically compatible with stainless steel, preventing dangerous galvanic corrosion (electrolysis) in marine environments. Available in Oval and Hourglass shapes for secure, reliable terminations.

Q: Why use copper ferrules instead of aluminum? A: You must use Copper Ferrules on Stainless Steel Wire Rope. Aluminum ferrules will react with stainless steel (galvanic corrosion), causing the aluminum to corrode rapidly and the termination to fail.
Q: What is the difference between oval and hourglass copper ferrules? A: Hourglass ferrules keep the wire strands aligned parallel, preventing them from crossing. Oval ferrules are a simple tube shape and are more economical.
