The Grade 100 Clevis Self-Locking Hook (CSK Type) is an exceptionally secure bottom hook commonly used on chain slings, designed to keep loads fully captured even if the lifting line becomes slack.
Automatic Locking: Features a heavy-duty latch that automatically closes and locks the moment tension is applied, providing maximum safety during overhead lifts.
Direct Clevis Mount: The clevis head allows for a fast, secure, and direct connection to Grade 100 chains without requiring extra connecting links, eliminating mismatched fittings.
Trigger Release: The hook remains firmly locked under load and requires manual activation of the release trigger when unloaded to open, preventing accidental disengagement.
Wide Capacity Range: Forged from high-strength Grade 100 alloy steel, accommodating chain sizes from 6mm to 32mm with robust Working Load Limits (WLL) from 1.4 tons up to 40 tons.
Maximum Safety (Self-Locking): Features an automatic locking mechanism that closes and locks as soon as the load is lifted. The hook cannot open under load, preventing accidental release even if the load bumps against obstacles.
Grade 100 Performance: Manufactured from high-strength Grade 100 Alloy Steel. Offers a 25% higher Working Load Limit (WLL) than Grade 80 hooks, allowing for the use of smaller, lighter chains for heavy lifts.
Integrated Clevis Connection: Designed with a built-in clevis pin to attach directly to the Grade 100 chain. This eliminates the need for an intermediate Connecting Link (Hammerlock), reducing the weight and length of the sling assembly.
Recessed Trigger: The release trigger is flush with the hook body, protecting it from damage and preventing accidental activation on the job site.
Larger Throat Opening: The geometry is optimized to allow easy attachment to large lifting points while maintaining a compact profile.
Standard: Compliant with ASTM A952 and EN 1677-3. Proof tested to 2.5x WLL.

Model
Mechanism
Safety Level
Self-Locking (CSK) (This Product)
Automatic Lock
Maximum Safety. Automatically locks under load. Cannot be forced open while lifting. Required on many safety-critical sites.
Sling Hook (CSH) (Standard)
Spring Latch
Basic Safety. Relies on a spring latch to keep load in. Latch can be damaged or pushed open accidentally.

Grade 100 Sling Components
Grade 100 Sling Components are high-strength alloy steel lifting accessories designed for heavy-duty lifting applications. Compared with Grade 80, Grade 100 offers higher working load limits (WLL) at the same size, or the same WLL with a smaller, lighter component.
What Does "Grade 100" Mean?
High-Strength Alloy: Heat-treated, quenched, and tempered steel.
Increased Capacity: Typically 25% higher WLL than Grade 80.
Safety Factor: Minimum breaking force ≈ 4 × WLL.
Standards: EN 818-4 / EN 818-6, ASTM equivalents.

⚠️ Safety & Compatibility Warning
❌ NEVER mix Grade 100 with Grade 80 components in the same sling assembly.
✅ Use only Grade 100 chain + Grade 100 fittings together.
Regularly inspect for wear (>10%), cracks, deformation, heat damage, or corrosion.
