The Grade 100 Eye Cradle Grab Hook (EGK Type) is an exceptionally strong chain shortening hook designed with a top eye fitting, allowing it to be securely attached to a master link or chain sling via a dedicated connecting link.
Non-Destructive Cradling: Features specialized supporting side lugs that fully cradle the engaged chain link, permitting safe length adjustment without reducing the lifting assembly's Working Load Limit (WLL).
Flexible Eye Attachment: The top eye design allows the hook to pivot freely when attached to a connecting link, reducing stress and allowing for versatile multi-leg sling setups.
Grade 100 Strength: Manufactured from forged, heat-treated alloy steel, delivering approximately 25% higher lifting capacity than equivalent Grade 80 grab hooks.
Extensive Capacity Range: Available in sizes to accommodate chains from 6mm up to 22mm, with impressive Working Load Limits scaling from 1.4 tons up to 19 tons for heavy-duty applications.
100% Load Capacity (Cradle Design): Specifically designed with supporting "Wings" (Cradles) on the hook shoulders. This supports the chain link fully, preventing deformation and allowing usage at 100% of the chain's Working Load Limit (no reduction required).
Eye Connection: Features a standard eye top, designed to be connected to the chain using a Grade 100 Connecting Link. This offers flexibility for retrofitting or when a direct clevis connection is not suitable.
Grade 100 Alloy: Forged from high-strength Grade 100 Alloy Steel, providing 25% greater strength than Grade 80 hooks, allowing for lighter rigging assemblies.
Shortening Function: The deep throat design allows for quick and secure shortening of chain sling legs without the chain slipping out easily.
Identification: Distinctive shape makes it easy to distinguish from lower-grade or non-cradle hooks during inspection.
Standard: Complies with ASTM A952 and EN 1677-1 standards.

Cradle Grab (EGK) (This Product)
Winged / Cradle
100% Capacity. Supports the chain link properly. No reduction in WLL is required.
Standard Grab (Basic)
No Wings
Reduced Capacity (-20%). Lack of support bends the link. You MUST reduce the WLL by 20% for safety.

Grade 100 Sling Components
Grade 100 Sling Components are high-strength alloy steel lifting accessories designed for heavy-duty lifting applications. Compared with Grade 80, Grade 100 offers higher working load limits (WLL) at the same size, or the same WLL with a smaller, lighter component.
What Does "Grade 100" Mean?
High-Strength Alloy: Heat-treated, quenched, and tempered steel.
Increased Capacity: Typically 25% higher WLL than Grade 80.
Safety Factor: Minimum breaking force ≈ 4 × WLL.
Standards: EN 818-4 / EN 818-6, ASTM equivalents.

Identification & Markings
Every Grade 100 component must be clearly marked with:
Grade: G100 or 10
Manufacturer's Mark
Size or WLL
Traceability Code (Batch / Heat Number)
⚠️ Safety & Compatibility Warning
❌ NEVER mix Grade 100 with Grade 80 components in the same sling assembly.
✅ Use only Grade 100 chain + Grade 100 fittings together.
Regularly inspect for wear (>10%), cracks, deformation, heat damage, or corrosion.
