The Grade 80 Viking G Hook is a heavy-duty connecting hook designed for commercial fishing, trawling, marine rigging, and compatible lifting applications.
Its compact forged design combines a large attachment eye with a deep G-shaped connecting section, allowing fast and secure connection of chains, ropes, trawling gear, and other rigging components. Also known in some markets as a DV Hook, Viking G Hook, Viking Split-Link Hook, or Trawling Connecting Hook, it is available in different working load limits to suit specific equipment and application requirements.
Select the DV Viking Link according to the required working load limit, chain diameter, eye dimensions, and mating component.
Insert the compatible chain, link, rope termination, or rigging component through the large eye or connecting throat as specified by the assembly design. Ensure that the load is properly seated in the main load-bearing section and that no side loading, twisting, shock loading, or contact with sharp edges occurs during operation.
Before each use, inspect the hook for cracks, deformation, excessive wear, corrosion, damaged surfaces, or unauthorized modification. Do not use the product if the identification marking or WLL is missing or unreadable. This component must not be used for overhead lifting unless the complete assembly, product certification, and application are approved for that purpose.
