A: Yes. The load-bearing components (the screw threads, barrel body, and grab hooks) are identical in forged strength. The folding mechanism is purely an ergonomic and safety feature; it does not reduce the Working Load Limit (WLL) of the assembly in any way.
Q: Does this binder meet DOT and CVSA requirements?
A: Yes. H-Lift load binders are designed, forged, and explicitly marked in accordance with FMCSA and CVSA standards. Just ensure that the WLL of the binder matches or exceeds the WLL of the transport chain you are tensioning.
