U.S. type Chain Swivels

No.703012

The H-Lift U.S. Type Chain Swivel is a rotating connector that prevents chain twist and tangling in rigging assemblies, allowing free rotation between chain sections or between chain and lifting equipment.

  • 360-degree rotation eliminates chain kinking and extends chain service life
  • Drop-forged construction ensures reliable performance in demanding lifting applications
  • Available in six sizes from 1/4" to 3/4" with WLL ranging from 850 to 7,200 lbs
  • Ideal for multi-leg slings, suspended loads, and applications requiring free chain movement

Technical Data

The G401 Chain Swivel is an industrial-standard positioning device manufactured to Federal Specification RR-C-271. Designed with narrow, elongated eyes specifically to fit into chain links, it helps align rigging assemblies and remove twists before a load is applied. Finished with Hot Dip Galvanizing for superior corrosion resistance.

⚠️ SAFETY WARNING: POSITIONING DEVICE ONLY.
This swivel is designed to align the chain and remove twists before the load is applied. It is NOT designed to rotate under load.
⛓️ Designed for Chain

Features narrow, elongated eyes optimized to fit directly into chain links. This maintains a streamlined assembly line, unlike bulky regular swivels.

🔨 Drop Forged

Manufactured from drop forged carbon steel, quenched and tempered. This process ensures maximum durability and shock resistance for industrial use.

🛡️ Hot Dip Galvanized

Finished with Hot Dip Galvanizing (HDG), providing a thicker, more durable coating than standard zinc plating for superior rust resistance in harsh environments.

✅ Industrial Standard

Meets the requirements of Federal Specification RR-C-271 (Type VII, Class 1), ensuring consistent quality and performance specifications.

ℹ️ Capacity Range: Available in sizes from 1/4" (850 lbs) to 3/4" (7,200 lbs).

Q: What is the difference between a Chain Swivel (G401) and a Regular Swivel (G402)? A: A Chain Swivel (G401) has narrow, elongated eyes designed to fit directly into chain links, keeping the assembly compact. A Regular Swivel (G402) typically has larger, rounder eyes better suited for shackles, hooks, or wire rope thimbles.
Q: Can I use this swivel to rotate a load while lifting? A: No. Standard G401 swivels are positioning devices. They are designed to untwist the rigging before lifting. For rotation under load, you need a Bearing Swivel.
