Aluminium Casing: Lightweight and corrosion-proof for portable use in harsh conditions.
800kg-5400kg Capacity: Versatile range for diverse industrial applications.
Multi-Position Operation: Works horizontally, vertically, or angled with telescopic handle.
Safety Features: Overload protection via shear pins; includes 20m rope and eye hook.
Lightweight Jaw Winch with Safety Overload Protection
Mechanism: Dual clamping jaws function like hands pulling a rope, ensuring continuous load stability.
Product Features
The H-Lift Wire Rope Pulling Hoist (Jaw Winch) is a compact, lightweight tool designed for lifting, pulling, and tightening loads over long distances. It operates using a steel wire rope running through the body of the hoist, where double sets of jaws open in alternating turns to keep the rope tight at all times.
Certified Safety: Each hoist is dynamic proof load tested to 1.5 x WLL (1.25 x WLL for 5400kg model) before leaving the factory. Safety Factor 4:1.
Overload Protection: Equipped with a replaceable shear safety pin that breaks if overloaded, protecting the mechanism (3 spare pins included).
Complete Kit: Includes 20m of coiled steel wire rope with a latch hook (custom lengths available).
Lightweight Build: Durable aluminium/steel construction with a powder-coated finish and plated frame components for portability and corrosion resistance.
Compliance: Manufactured to EN 13157 standards.
Options: A rotating hook attached to the body is available as an option.

Wire Rope Pulling Hoist / Jaw Winch
Safety, Selection & Maintenance Guide
What is a Jaw Winch?
A jaw winch is a portable manual lifting and pulling device. It operates by using jaws to grip and move a wire rope through the unit using human effort on a lever. It is designed for lifting, lowering, and holding loads over unlimited distances (limited only by rope length).
Key Technical Requirements:
Safety Factor: Must have a coefficient of utilization of at least 4:1.
Overload Protection: The lifting lever is fitted with a shear pin or safety device to limit lifting force to not more than 2 times the rated capacity.
Durability: Designed to withstand 400 operation cycles at rated capacity without failure.
Safety Guidelines
Always
Store and handle wire rope pulling hoists correctly in a dry, clean place.
Inspect the machine, rope, and accessories before use.
Ensure mounting points are secure and suitable for the full load.
Ensure the machine aligns correctly with the rope (free to pivot).
Use only the specific rope supplied for the machine (diameter is critical).
Keep the machine well lubricated.
Never
Use kinked, damaged ropes, or ropes with broken wires.
Extend the operating lever with a pipe/tube (this defeats the safety shear pin).
Operate raising and lowering levers simultaneously.
Use the hoist if the rope is twisted or trapped.
Use for man-riding applications unless specifically designed and certified for that purpose.
Selection & Operation Guide
Selecting the Correct Hoist
Consider the operation type (manual/hydraulic), required capacity (lifting vs. pulling), rope length, and rigging arrangement (diverters/pulleys). Consult the supplier if man-riding is required, as this demands specific certification.
Storage & Handling
Never store damaged equipment. Coil the rope carefully on a drum or frame to prevent kinks. Store the machine and rope on a rack, off the floor, to prevent damage and corrosion.
Using the Hoist Safely
Check the rigging to ensure anchors are secure. Do not exceed the Safe Working Load (SWL). The rope must not be twisted. Only use the provided lever handle—undue force will shear the safety pins. Note: Man-riding requires additional safety equipment.
In-service Inspection & Maintenance
Follow the supplier's maintenance schedule. Lack of lubrication is a primary cause of jerky movement or failure. It is impossible to over-lubricate a wire rope pulling hoist.
Defects to Watch For: Refer to a Competent Person if you see: damaged casing, distorted shear pins, bent levers, incorrect rope diameter, kinked/corroded rope, broken wires, damaged terminal fittings, or jerky operation.
