A double sheave snatch block is a pulley system that is similar in design to a single sheave snatch block, but with two sheaves instead of one. The two sheaves are mounted within a single block or housing, and each sheave has a groove or channel that allows a wire rope or cable to be threaded through it.

Double sheave snatch blocks are used in a variety of applications where heavy loads need to be lifted or moved, including construction, logging, and industrial settings. They are particularly useful in situations where a load needs to be redirected, and where a greater mechanical advantage is required than can be achieved with a single sheave snatch block.

One of the primary benefits of a double sheave snatch block is that it can effectively double the mechanical advantage of a system. By redirecting the direction of force twice, the block can help to significantly reduce the amount of effort required to move a load. This is particularly useful when using hand-operated winches or come-alongs.

Double sheave snatch blocks come in a range of sizes and weight capacities, so it's important to choose the right block for the job at hand. When selecting a snatch block, it's important to consider factors such as the weight of the load, the strength of the wire rope or cable, and the environment in which the block will be used.
